Pierre Davis + No Sesso

I'm the Co-Founder and Head Designer of No Sesso. I was the first trans woman to present a collection on the official New York Fashion Week calendar in February 2019 which has since become one of the most highly anticipated and attended shows during American Fashion Week.
About the artist

I was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and grew up in a military family, which resulted in me spending much of my adolescence traveling and living abroad. In 2008, I became a student at the Art Institute of Seattle, where I developed my commitment to process-based work, developing my garments and designs as art pieces, and the desire to surround myself with other artists. After moving to Los Angeles in 2014, I met Los Angeles creative Arin Hayes and co-designer Autumn Randolph. Together, we created No Sesso. It has built a cult following through collections that challenge the conventions of fashion, art, culture, and design.

No Sesso is italian for 'no sex/no gender'.

No Sesso is a community that focuses on empowering people of all colors, shapes, and identities. I continue to grow No Sesso and push for my vision, inclusivity, celebration, and art by partnering with powerful brands like Nike, MOCA, and soon Levi’s later this year. Making nonconformity as beautiful and inclusive as it can possibly be, I continue to celebrate the community in which No Sesso serves with their collections, fashion presentations, partnerships, parties, educational activities, and more.

It’s time to make unseen designers seen.
